Airtel Extends Apple Music to Prepaid Users: Check Eligibility, Free Trial, and Monthly Cost

Bharti Airtel is expanding its digital entertainment portfolio by rolling out Apple Music access for select prepaid users in India, a benefit that was earlier reserved only for postpaid and broadband customers.

Apple Music Access for Prepaid Users

Several prepaid users have spotted an Apple Music banner inside the Airtel Thanks App, confirming that the rollout has already begun. The offer provides a complimentary trial of up to six months, after which the subscription will be billed at ₹119 per month.

Though Airtel has not yet made an official announcement, users can verify their eligibility directly via the Airtel Thanks App. Interestingly, the benefit is also being reported on select non-unlimited 5G plans, suggesting that it may not be tied to a specific recharge pack.

Why Airtel is Expanding Apple Music Benefits

Airtel had earlier introduced Apple Music and Apple TV+ perks for its broadband and postpaid subscribers. Extending these benefits to prepaid users reflects the company’s larger strategy to blend connectivity with premium digital entertainment.

The telecom giant has already launched bundled recharge plans that integrate data, unlimited calling, and access to 25+ OTT platforms such as Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV, and Zee5, available in 16 languages.

Recently, Airtel also introduced free access to Perplexity AI Pro, further underlining its ambition to go beyond traditional telecom services and build a comprehensive digital ecosystem.

What Users Should Do

Prepaid customers should check the Airtel Thanks App to see if they are eligible for the Apple Music trial. With this move, Airtel is not just enhancing entertainment value but also positioning itself as a leading digital lifestyle provider in India.
