Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the Chhattisgarh government has rejected the construction of “Ready-to-Eat” supplements to women self-help groups, giving a milestone of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guarantee. This important initiative has started from Raigad district. Recently, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai had given contract letters to 10 women self-help groups of Raigad. After this, the work of machine installation was done rapidly and now “Ready-to-Eat” production has been launched from Gram Panchayat Kotralia in Raigad district.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this initiative will provide quality nutritious food to the children of Anganwadi along with making women financially self -sufficient. He said that a target has been set to make 3 crore “Lakhpati Didi” across the country and Chhattisgarh is working at a fast pace in this direction. Raigad has become a leading district in this campaign.
On the occasion of Independence Day, Finance Minister Shri OP Chaudhary launched the “Ready-to-Eat” construction unit in village Kotralia. During this, he himself inspected the construction process by running the machine and instructed women to maintain quality. The Finance Minister said that this initiative started from Raigad will soon be applicable in all districts of the state and this model will become an inspirational example for the entire state.
It is noteworthy that a total of 2709 Anganwadi centers are operated in Raigad district. 10 women self-help groups have been selected for all these centers. These groups are also being provided capital subsidy under the Prime Minister Pharmailization of Micro Food Processing Enterprise (PMFME) scheme. The projects of Raigad district-Raigad Urban, Raigad Rural, Pusaur, Kharsia, Gharghoda, Tamanar, Lailunga, Mukraga, Dharamjaigarh and Kapu will soon start “Ready-to-Eat” production. It has started from Kotralia at the moment.
It is noteworthy that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, this mission of women empowerment and malnutrition liberation is being implemented as a pilot project in 6 districts of the state – Bastar, Dantewada, Balodabazar, Korba, Raigad and Surajpur in the first phase. At the same time, Raigad has become the first district in the state, where women groups have started “Ready-to-Eat” production. This initiative will provide a new direction to the economic prosperity of women and the health of children.
