Will we get compensation from Saudi?

According to the Indian Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, if a person dies in Saudi Arabia, he will get compensation only if the family or their authorized person files a case in the Sharia Court. Let us understand point by point how compensation will be received.

(1) When and how to get it

  1. If the death is due to reasons like murder, fire, factory accident, road accident, then the family may have the right to get compensation for the death.
  2. death in accident: If the death occurred due to a work-related accident and the employee was covered under GOSI (General Organization for Social Insurance) insurance, then GOSI provides compensation to the family. The family has to contact GOSI themselves. If there was no GOSI insurance and the accident happened due to the negligence of the company, then the company has to pay compensation.
  3. Compensation will be available only when the family or their authorized person files a case in the Sharia Court.
  4. The court will decide after the hearing whether compensation will be given or not and how much will be given. When a case of death comes, the embassy looks at who was at fault and tells the family whether there is a possibility of getting compensation or not.
  5. Where compensation is available, the family is asked to prepare the necessary documents and allow a close relative or the Indian Embassy to fight the case.

What documents will be required?

Documents required to get compensation (in case of traffic accident)
