Many extortion cases have come to light in Canada recently. In which comedian Kapil Sharma was also shot at Caps Cafe. After this, the Canadian government took major action against the gang involved in firing for extortion in Canada. Canada Border Security Agency has deported three foreign nationals from the country on charges of running an extortion gang.

Besides, the agency has also identified 78 other foreign nationals. An immigration investigation has been initiated against these 78 foreign nationals on suspicion of illegal activities related to organized crime. In recent times, there has been an increase in incidents of firing at the homes of businessmen in Canada. In which firing also took place at comedian Kapil Sharma’s Caps Cafe. After this the British Columbia Extortion Task Force was formed. This action has been taken under the same.

Bishnoi gang declared a terrorist organization

However, the identity of any foreign national deported has not been revealed. According to sources, despite the Canadian government declaring Lawrence Bishnoi gang as a foreign terrorist organization, the criminal activities of his gang have increased.

In areas like Brampton in Ontario province, where a large number of Indian immigrants live, there has been an increase in criminal activities by the gangs of Lawrence Bishnoi, his rival Goldie Brar and Rohit Godara. Recently, Indian-origin businessman Darshan Singh Sahari was murdered in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Lawrence Bishnoi gang had taken responsibility for this murder. It is not yet clear who are the three people against whom action has been taken.

65 cases registered

According to Surrey Police, in the year 2025, 65 cases of extortion were registered in Surrey itself, out of which 35 involved firing incidents. Criminals demand extortion in cryptocurrency through social media and then commit violence when refused. However, many of these incidents are related to Indian gangs. According to sources, syndicates like Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldie Brar and Rohit Godara have a major role in these cases.

In areas like Brampton, Ontario, where a large number of Indian immigrants live, the incidents of these gangs have increased. These incidents have spread panic among the migrant community.
