The AI Startup Set to Redefine Online Research Forever

Artificial Intelligence is now everywhere, and hence, reshaping the tech industry at lightning speed. In this regard, ex-Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal is taking a step further and starting his new venture, Parallel Web Systems Inc. The company was founded in 2023 with the aim in mind to build a cloud platform that allows AI systems to perform large-scale online research. Parag left Twitter (Now X), following Elon Musk’s takeover in 2022.

What is Parallel Web Systems Inc

Parallel is a cloud platform that enables AI systems to conduct real-time online research. It is solely based pre-existing datasets, and hence, platforms and applications that are using Parallel can fetch, verify, and structure data directly from the public web.

Agrawal refers to the system as giving AI “a browser of its own,” capable of cross-checking answers and measuring confidence levels to improve reliability and efficiency.

Additionally, the newly launched Parallel is aimed at building a web environment which is optimized for AI. The platform can request, gather, and organize information without any human intervention. Not only this, it will also ensure that data sources are credited and contributors are rewarded.

Parallel Features

One of the striking features of the Parallel is its Deep Research API, which as per Agarwal, outperforms human benchmark. It also outperforms leading AI models, including GPT-5 while performing some of the most difficult research tests.

Early adopters, including fast-growing AI companies, are already using Parallel to automate workflows, enhance coding agents, and find documentation faster than traditional methods allow.

Parallel Funding and Investors

Headquartered in Palo Alto, Parallel has raised $30 million in funding from prominent investors such as Khosla Ventures, Index Ventures, and First Round Capital.
