Taylor Swift’s hit song “The Fate of Ophelia” has officially reached new heights.The week of January 10, the lead single from Swift’s 2025 album ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ returned to number 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, giving it a total of nine weeks at the top.This spectacular new achievement means “The Fate of Ophelia” has officially overtaken the singer’s previous 2022 chart-topper, “Anti-Hero”, and becomes her longest-serving No. 1 single. “Anti-Hero” also spent 8 weeks at the top of the chart following the release of Swift’s 10th studio album, Midnights in 2022.

This achievement is particularly noteworthy given the intense competition during the holiday season, with the introduction of new seasonal tracks often pushing older hits down the rankings. ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ not only returned to the top, but also overtook Swift’s previous hit ‘Anti-Hero’, which previously held the record for most consecutive weeks at No. 1.
