T20 World Cup 2026: There is news that the cricket high command ICC has rejected Bangladesh’s demand. Bangladesh had requested ICC to shift its T20 World Cup matches from India. He had said that he would not tour India to play the tournament. But, now according to the reports, it seems that Bangladesh will have to play its T20 World Cup matches in India only.

ICC rejected Bangladesh’s demand

Citing the safety of the players, Bangladesh had raised the demand to shift the venue of its matches in the T20 World Cup 2026 to Sri Lanka. But according to the report of ESPNcricinfo, ICC has instructed Bangladesh to continue as per the scheduled schedule. This means that Bangladesh will have to play its group stage matches in T20 World Cup 2026 only in Kolkata and Mumbai. In view of the ongoing political tension between India and Bangladesh, the venue of the matches will not be changed to Sri Lanka.
