Many flights had to be stopped due to technical fault at Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu on Saturday evening. Also, the travel of 5 planes was stopped. According to ANI report, this problem has occurred due to a problem in the airfield lighting system of the runway. It is being told that this happened due to seepage of rain water in the wiring channels of the runway lighting system. This suddenly caused a short circuit and the runway was plunged into complete darkness. After this the airport staff started repairing. Meanwhile, there was an atmosphere of chaos at the airport for a long time.

Due to technical glitch at Tribhuvan International Airport, hundreds of passengers traveling to and from Nepal had to face problems. It is being told that many passengers kept waiting for hours at the airport lounge and runway area for the technical glitch to be fixed. Meanwhile, the airport authority continued to appeal to the passengers to be patient. Many times the passengers lost their patience, but the airport authority somehow pacified them.

There was a technical fault at Delhi airport also

Earlier, more than 800 flights were delayed due to technical glitches at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI). Actually, this happened due to a technical problem in the air traffic control system on Friday. This is the second major incident in two days when flights have been affected due to technical fault at an international airport in Asia.

Flights resumed on Saturday

Flight movement was completely back on track at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) on Saturday. Due to this, thousands of passengers heaved a sigh of relief. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said that flight operations gradually became normal from Saturday morning. The technical glitch has been rectified.
