According to the police, the body of 25 -year -old Kiran Maurya was found from his in -laws’ house in Shahpur Afga village on Sunday morning. Police officers reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported.
Alok Gupta, the police officer (CO) of Rasra, said that the body has been sent for post -mortem.
He said that Kiran was married to Sanoj Maurya about eight years ago and there was a rift between the two.
According to the CO, husband Sanoj told the police that when he woke up at around four o’clock in the early hours of Sunday, he saw his wife hanging from the noose.
Gupta said that the case is being investigated.
