According to media reports, young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy has been released from the squad before the opening test match against South Africa. TendeshKate had revealed in the press conference itself that Nitish Kumar Reddy may have to sit out the first match. In such a situation, he will now join the India A team for the ongoing series against South Africa A in Rajkot. He has recently returned from injury, so the management wants to give him more playing time and match fitness.

Nitish Kumar Reddy was part of the Indian team on the recent Australia tour. But during the second match of the ODI series, he suffered an injury in the quadriceps muscle of his legs. After this, he was ruled out of the initial matches of the T20 series due to neck stiffness. Now he had returned fully fit and was seen sweating profusely even in the practice session. But due to not getting a place in the playing 11, he has been released.
