Russia once again said on Sunday that President Vladimir Putin has not ordered nuclear testing. Moscow is committed to prohibiting testing of weapons of mass destruction. This comment from Russia has come at a time when US President Donald Trump said in a post on social media platform Truth Social on October 29 that he has directed the War Department to start testing its nuclear weapons.

Kremlin (Presidential Office of Russia) spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Putin has repeatedly said that Russia abides by its commitments under the ban on nuclear testing.

Russia will also have to take retaliatory steps

Kremlin spokesperson said that we are not going to conduct any nuclear test, but if any other country does it, we will have to do it to maintain balance. However, he said that if Washington actually tests a nuclear weapon, Russia will also have to take retaliatory measures. Nuclear parity is certainly the most important component, perhaps, of the entire global security architecture at present.

America has the most nuclear weapons
