More than a month has passed since the Asia Cup 2025 ended but the champion team India has not yet received its trophy. In the final held on 29 September, Team India defeated Pakistan and won the title, but then the team refused to take the trophy from the hands of Pakistani President of Asian Cricket Council (ACC), Mohsin Naqvi. Since then, Naqvi has not handed over the trophy to Team India and now finally BCCI has raised the issue of the trophy in the ICC meeting and told everyone the reality of Naqvi’s actions.

The Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), who was missing from the last few ICC meetings, attended the meeting held at the ICC Headquarters in Dubai on Friday, 7 September. It already seemed certain that the issue of Asia Cup trophy would be raised in this meeting of the ICC Board and that is exactly what happened. Secretary Devjit Saikia, who participated as a representative of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, told all the board members present in the meeting about the shameful act of Mohsin Naqvi, how he took the trophy with him to the hotel and Team India has not received it yet.
