The husband of Sarabjit Kaur, resident of village Amanipur, Post Office Tibba, Kapurthala, has been living in England for the last 20 years. Both have two sons. Some people also say that Sarabjit was also friends with a Pakistani youth. His name is Nasir. This was not the first time that she had gone to Pakistan. Even before this she had gone to Pakistan to meet Nasir. He was his Facebook friend.

But the matter did not stop here. Now a letter has gone viral on social media, which is written in Urdu. This letter has gone viral from Pakistan. It is written in it – Sarabjit Kaur has changed her religion by marrying a Pakistani cleric. Now he is not Sarabjit but Noor Hussain. Before this, Anju of Rajasthan had also gone to Pakistan. There, despite being married, she married Pakistani youth Nasrullah. However, she later returned back to India. Now in the case of Sarabjit, some people are calling it a story like Anju. But the truth behind this will become clear only after the police investigation.
What did Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee say?
Police are investigating this matter from every angle. In this regard, Secretary of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Pratap Singh, while talking to the media, expressed deep concern and raised questions on the investigation process of the government. Pratap Singh said that the name of that woman was not included in the official list sent by the government to SGPC. According to other members of the group, she stayed with everyone for about eight days, but she neither told about meeting any relative nor gave any information about her personal plans. SGPC had also given approval only on the basis of the government list, as it is the responsibility of the government and security agencies to check the background of the passengers.
‘It affects the image of the Sikh community’
The Secretary said that if the woman was talking to someone online or her intentions were suspicious then the government should have had this information. He said that if the investigation had been done on time, he would have been stopped before crossing the border, just like many other travelers have been stopped in the past. Pratap Singh said that this incident is not limited to just one family, but affects the image of the entire Sikh community, because every member of the group represents the Sikh community. Condemning this behavior of the woman, he said that she should have thought about the honor of her family and her community before taking any step.
He also said that the government showed generosity in visa and other facilities for traveling to Pakistan, but this incident proved that there is a need to make the investigation process more stringent, so that in future no person can make such mistake or wrong step by going with the group.
