US President Donald Trump has given a big statement regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has said that I have good relations with PM Modi but he is not very happy with me. The reason for this is American tariff. Trump said that India is facing higher American tariffs by buying oil from Russia. Trump praised PM Modi while talking to journalists. Described him as a ‘good person’.

During this, Trump also said that he (Modi) knows that I am not happy. It is important to please me. However, he also expressed his dissatisfaction on business issues. He said that if needed, America can also increase tariffs on India. Trump’s statement comes amid pressure from India to continue purchasing large amounts of crude oil from Russia and from the US to limit India-Russia energy relations.

US had imposed 50% tariff on India

The Trump administration had increased the total tariff on imports from India to 50 percent in August 2025. America had imposed 25 percent of this as a punishment for buying oil from Russia. The remaining part was reciprocal. America believes that Putin’s war machinery is getting money from the oil that India is buying from Russia.

Trump called Maduro a violent person

At the same time, while talking to journalists, Trump also talked about the issues of Venezuela. During this, he has described Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro as a violent person. He said that Maduro is a violent person. They have killed lakhs of people. Trump said that we are closing Maduro’s torture chamber. There is Maduco’s torture chamber in Caracas. Trump said that America has the most powerful army, this has been proved once again. He said that there is no one around America. No one can compete with us.
