On the latest episode of ‘The Kardashians’ (Oct. 30), the reality star openly questioned whether the 1969 moon landing really happened, and NASA didn’t want to ignore it. During a conversation with actress Sarah Paulson, Kim shared her doubts, citing viral videos and online “evidence”. “I’ve been sending you a million articles by now, both about Buzz Aldrin and the other guy,” she said, referring to Neil Armstrong. Paulson, who was clearly surprised, encouraged him to share them.

US space agency NASA has rejected reality star Kim Kardashian’s claim that the space mission that landed the first humans on the Moon in 1969 was fake. Acting NASA Administrator Sean Duffy wrote on social media, “Yes, we have been to the moon before… 6 times!” Kardashian made the comments in the latest episode of her long-running TV series The Kardashians, in which she told co-star Sarah Paulson that she thinks the moon landing “didn’t happen.” Despite frequent denials, conspiracy theories about whether humans actually landed on the Moon have persisted for more than 50 years, especially with the rise of social media.

Kim recalled the clips she saw online: “A girl asks (Buzz Aldrin), ‘What was the scariest moment?’ And he says, ‘There was no scary moment, because it didn’t happen.’ Now he has grown up, so he makes mistakes. So I guess it didn’t happen.”
In her statement, the SKIMS founder reiterated her point. “I don’t think we did it. I think it was a lie,” he said, citing “flag hoisting”, mismatched footprints and missing wires as his reasons. When asked how she would respond to critics, she shrugged it off: “They’ll say I’m crazy, whatever. But, go on TikTok and see for yourself.”
His comments, unsurprisingly, went viral, prompting NASA to issue an official response. Acting administrator Sean Duffy went on X and clarified the situation: “Yes, @KimKardashian, we’ve been to the moon before – six times!” He also mentioned NASA’s ongoing Artemis program, which aims to return humans to the lunar surface, adding, “We won the last space race, and we will win this one too.”
Kardashian’s comments have rekindled age-old moon-interception conspiracy theories, sparking a new debate online. Meanwhile, scientists and officials are insisting on a wealth of evidence, from lunar samples to mission footage, proving that Apollo 11’s 1969 moon landing was indeed real.
