US troops attack Venezuela and kill President Nicolas Maduro And his wife Celia Flores was kidnapped on Saturday. After this incident, tension has increased again in world politics. This has directly affected the relations between China and America. America’s biggest fear now is that China may take some major military step regarding Taiwan. If this happens, it will affect the whole world.

Yonaguni is a small island of Japan near Taiwan. This island is just 70 miles away from Taiwan and is closer to Taipei than Tokyo. Earlier this place was known for diving and tourism, but now it has become a frontline post. Large radars have been installed here and PAC-3 missile systems have been deployed. Local people say that the mobile network is being affected due to military equipment.

Why is Yonaguni important for America?

Yonaguni is part of Okinawa province of Japan and is very important for America. There is a security agreement between America and Japan, under which both are ready to protect each other. Under this agreement, America has deployed about 55 thousand soldiers in Japan. Of these, more than 30 thousand soldiers are in Okinawa, which is about 360 miles away from Taiwan.

Experts believe that in the event of a Taiwan war, these soldiers will be America’s first and most important force. China has strengthened its army a lot in the last years. Today it has more soldiers, warships and fighter planes than America. The number of China’s nuclear weapons is also increasing rapidly. China has been continuously saying that Taiwan is its part and if necessary, it can take it under its control by using force.

America-Japan increased military preparations

In view of this threat, America and Japan have intensified their military preparations. Both the countries recently conducted the biggest ever joint military exercise Resolute Dragon. About 20 thousand soldiers participated in it. America’s new and powerful weapons were included in this exercise.

Tomahawk missiles can be fired from the Typhon missile system, which have a range of up to 1,000 miles. The Nemesis anti-ship missile system is capable of targeting enemy ships. The US has set up temporary refueling bases on islands like Yonaguni and rapid deployment of troops is being practiced. Apart from this, America is also preparing its military bases in Philippines, South Korea and Guam for the Taiwan crisis.

Taiwan increased its defense budget

Taiwan is also not sitting silent. It has increased its defense budget to 3.3% of GDP and plans to take it to 5% by 2030. America has announced to provide HIMARS rocket system, Javelin missile and other weapons to Taiwan, although their complete supply will take time.

Experts clearly say that if America does not cooperate, it will be very difficult for Taiwan to stand in front of China. This is the reason why the tension that started from Venezuela is now becoming the cause of a major conflict between China and America over Taiwan.
