Blood Donation Mahadan: A Noble Example of Social Service in Gariaband

Gariaband, Chhattisgarh: A large-scale blood donation camp was successfully organized today at the Government District Hospital, jointly hosted by Prajapati Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya and the Gariaband Blood Donor Group. The event drew enthusiastic participation from citizens, particularly youth, who came forward to donate blood as a mark of social responsibility and service.

District Collector B.K.S. Uike inspected the camp, reviewed the arrangements, and personally interacted with the donors. Encouraging the participants, he remarked, “Blood donation is the greatest form of human service. Each of us has a responsibility to society, and donating blood from time to time can save the lives of patients in critical need—be it accident victims, mothers facing complications during childbirth, or patients battling serious illnesses.”

Collector’s Appeal to Youth

The Collector praised the initiative of the Prajapati Brahmakumari Foundation and the Blood Donor Group, highlighting that such efforts strengthen the spirit of service, cooperation, and humanity in society. He also appealed to the youth to come forward in greater numbers for blood donation, noting that their contribution could make a life-saving difference.

During his visit, he directed the hospital management to ensure a safe and scientific process of blood collection and storage. He emphasized that proper medical testing and hygienic storage methods are essential so that patients can access blood on time in the future.

Enthusiastic Participation

The camp witnessed a large turnout of donors, with many first-time volunteers pledging to make blood donation a regular practice. Doctors, nurses, and health workers of the district hospital actively facilitated the process, ensuring smooth operations throughout the day.

Officials of the Prajapati Brahmakumari Foundation also briefed Collector Uike about their ongoing social service activities in the fields of health, education, and community awareness. They expressed their commitment to continuing such humanitarian efforts in the future.

The event was marked by an atmosphere of enthusiasm and collective spirit. Donors were presented with certificates of appreciation and served nutritious refreshments after their donation.

Among those present were CMHO Dr. U.S. Navratna, Civil Surgeon Dr. Y.I. Dhruv, Medical Officer Dr. Harish Chauhan, along with hospital officials, Prajapati Brahmakumari Foundation members, volunteers, and a large gathering of citizens.
