IPL Broadcast in Bangladesh: There may be a ban on telecast of IPL matches in Bangladesh. It is reported that a special request has been made to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry of Bangladesh regarding this. This request has been made by the Sports Ministry, whose advisor Asif Nazrul says that he will not tolerate any kind of insult to Bangladesh Cricket or any of its players. Earlier, there is news of Sports Ministry giving instructions to Bangladesh Cricket Board to change the venue of T20 World Cup 2026 matches.

IPL matches will not be telecast in Bangladesh?

Dr. Asif Nazrul, advisor to the Sports Ministry of Bangladesh, has expressed his displeasure over Mustafizur’s exclusion from the IPL. He posted on social media and said that he strongly condemns the decision of BCCI. He wrote that he will demand clarification from BCCI on this issue in front of ICC.

He further wrote that he will request his Information and Broadcasting Minister not to allow the telecast of IPL matches in Bangladesh. Asif Nazrul says that insulting Bangladesh cricket or any of its players will not be tolerated at any cost.

BCB sought clarification from ICC and BCCI

According to the report of Cricbuzz, Bangladesh Cricket Board has emailed ICC and BCCI demanding an explanation from them on the exclusion of Mustafizur Rahman from IPL, which Asif Nazrul has also mentioned in his post. Apart from this, BCB has also made a demand in its email regarding the safety of Bangladesh players, fans and media there during the T20 World Cup.
