Another Hindu murdered in Bangladesh.

The incidents of violence against Hindus are not stopping in Bangladesh. Another name has been added to this list. Today, a Hindu youth, Mithun Sarkar (25), was drowned to death in Naugaon. This is the 7th murder in 20 days. In Bangladesh, hours pass, days pass, weeks pass, names change, districts change but one identity comes to the fore again and again: Hindu.

Is it really a series of separate events? Or is this a planned campaign to eliminate? Has killing of Hindus become a silent normality under Yunus’ rule? Is this how this well-planned conspiracy works, scare, destroy, and then remain silent?

In such a situation, the big question is where is the administration? Where are the human rights organizations? Where is the international conscience? In view of the incidents of violence against Hindus, the Minority Forum of Bangladesh says that communal violence is increasing at an alarming rate. This has created an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty.

The minority forum said, earlier on January 2, Satya Ranjan Das, on January 3 Khokon Chandra Das, on January 4 Shubho Poddar and on January 5 Rana Pratap Bairagi were killed. As parliamentary election day approaches, communal violence is increasing at an alarming rate. At least 51 incidents of violence took place in December alone.

Incidents of murder, theft and dacoity

The Minority Forum said, these include 10 murders, 10 incidents of theft and dacoity, 23 cases of encroachment, looting and arson of houses, business establishments, temples and land, 4 cases of detention and torture on false charges of religious blasphemy and being RAW agents, 1 attempt to rape and 3 incidents of assault.

This trend of violence continues in January also. On January 2, paddy crop was set on fire on 96 decimal land of Satyaranjan Das in Lakshmipur. On January 3, Khokan Chandra Das was brutally murdered in Shariatpur, he was chopped and set on fire. The same morning, a robbery took place at the house of Milan Das in Ward No. 4 of Amuchiya Union, Boalkhali Upazila of Chittagong, where all the family members were taken hostage.

A similar incident took place on the same day at Sanu Das’s house in Homna, Comilla, where a robbery was committed. Then on January 4, a gold merchant named Shubho Poddar was tied up and jewelery was looted from his shop. On the same day, a 40-year-old Hindu widow was raped in Kaliganj Jhenaidah. He was tied to a tree, his head was shaved and he was tortured.
