Adobe Brings Gemini 3-Powered Nano Banana Pro Model Into Photoshop, Firefly: How To Use

Adobe has rolled out support for Google’s new Nano Banana Pro AI model, bringing the Gemini 3-powered system to both Photoshop and the Firefly app. The announcement comes just days after Google introduced the model publicly, marking one of the fastest integrations Adobe has made with a third-party AI system. Nano Banana Pro now joins Adobe’s growing list of partner models available across its creative tools. Also Read: What Happens If You Never Clear Your Google Search History?

Nano Banana Pro Now Available in Firefly and Photoshop

Adobe confirmed the rollout in a press release, noting that users of Photoshop and Firefly can now access the new model for image generation and advanced edits. The integration follows the strategic partnership Adobe and Google announced recently, under which Adobe will bring Google’s AI models to its apps on mobile and desktop. news Also Read: Android To iPhone File Sharing? For Firefly users, Nano Banana Pro can be selected in the text-to-image feature, allowing creators to generate visuals using prompts or to combine multiple references. The Firefly app supports up to six reference images, letting users merge styles or refine concepts within a single composition. The model is also supported in Firefly Boards, Adobe’s collaborative workspace for organizing ideas, creating moodboards, and sharing visual drafts.

Adobe also announced that subscribers of Creative Cloud Pro and Firefly plans will get unlimited AI image generation using both Firefly’s in-house models and third-party ones, including Nano Banana Pro, until December 1.

Gemini 3-Powered Features Inside Photoshop

In Photoshop, Nano Banana Pro will enhance the Generative Fill tool, enabling more detailed edits based on text prompts. Users can create new elements inside an image, adjust lighting, generate multiple visual variations, and export high-resolution results up to 4K. Adobe says the model will help improve accuracy and visual quality when making object-level or style-based adjustments.

Nano Banana Pro is the third partner model integrated by Adobe into its generative tools, following the earlier Nano Banana model powered by Gemini 2.5 and FLUX.1 Kontext from Black Forest Labs.

With the rollout now live, Photoshop and Firefly users can begin experimenting with Google’s newest AI image model across supported features.
