The political climate in Nepal has become increasingly tense following the government’s ban on social media platforms. What began as a peaceful youth-led protest has escalated into violent demonstrations across several regions.
In one of the most alarming incidents, nearly 500 bikers stormed the Indo-Nepal border and set fire to the Bhansar office in Belhiya, Rupandehi, near India’s Maharajganj district. The blaze heightened tension in the border zone, forcing complete suspension of movement across the Indo-Nepal border.
Amid the escalating unrest, Indian security forces maintained heightened vigilance to prevent any spillover of violence. Yet, in a gesture that highlighted humanity over hostility, Indian soldiers extended a helping hand by sending food supplies to Nepalese security personnel stationed across the border.
