Hangzhou (China), Sept 4, 2025 – After the men’s team’s recent success, all eyes now turn to the Indian women’s hockey team, as the Women’s Asia Cup 2025 begins in Hangzhou, China, from September 5 to 14.

This continental championship is not just about regional dominance—the winner will earn a direct qualification spot for the 2026 Hockey World Cup, making every game a high-stakes battle.


Tournament Format

  • 8 teams, 2 pools.

  • Top 2 from each pool progress to the Super 4.

  • The top 2 from Super 4 clash in the final on September 14.

Pool A: China, South Korea, Malaysia, Chinese Taipei
Pool B: India, Japan, Thailand, Singapore
