Tilak Verma Surgery: Team India is in trouble regarding the T20 series against New Zealand and the subsequent T20 World Cup. Team India is facing this problem due to the sudden surgery of its star batsman Tilak Verma. Tilak Verma got injured during the Vijay Hazare Trophy match, after which the player, who was captaining Hyderabad in the tournament, had to undergo surgery immediately.

Why did Tilak Verma undergo operation?

Tilak Verma had testicular pain during the match played against Bengal in Vijay Hazare Trophy, after which he was immediately taken to the hospital, where the scan revealed testicular torsion, due to which he had to be operated. Tilak Verma’s operation has been successful but after that the question has arisen that when will he return to the field?

Suspense on playing T20 World Cup

Team India has to play a T20 series against New Zealand this month and then enter the mega cricket match of the T20 World Cup from 7th February. Tilak Verma is not only a part of Team India in both these events but is also a strong pillar of its playing eleven. But, after the current surgery, there is now suspense over Tilak Verma’s play. This suspense is because till now nothing has been officially revealed regarding his return to the field. However, it is believed that he may stay out for 3 to 4 weeks.

Will Tilak be out of T20 series with New Zealand?

India-New Zealand T20 series is starting from 21st February. The first T20 will be played in Nagpur. The second T2o will be played in Raipur on 23 January. The third T20 match will be held in Guwahati on 26 January. The fourth T20 will be played in Vizag on 28 January. Whereas on January 31, the last T20 will be played in Thiruvananthapuram. Now if Tilak Verma is out for 3 to 4 weeks i.e. a month, then it seems difficult for him to play against New Zealand. But, after being fit, he can be expected to return in the T20 World Cup.
