The investigation of Delhi blast is still going on and meanwhile, Russia has given such a big defense offer to India, which has increased the heartbeats of Pakistan. Moscow has introduced the upgraded export version of its most advanced fifth-generation fighter jet Su-57E.

Along with this, India has also received a proposal for unlimited technology transfer. Russian officials say that this offer is the most important step to give new energy to the six decade old defense cooperation of India and Russia. This proposal of Russia has come at a time when President Putin is going to visit India in December next month.

What’s on offer?

At the Dubai Air Show, Russia not only showcased the upgraded model of Su-57E but also presented a comprehensive package for India. This includes supply of Su-57E fighter jets, licensed production, a family of new air launched weapons, integration of Indian munitions, long-term maintenance and support and unrestricted technology transfer.

What is special in Su-57E?

First: Russia claims that the Su-57E fully meets all the standards of the fifth-generation fighter jet. A large amount of composite material has been used in its body, it has radar-absorbent coating and internal weapon bays have been provided for weapons. That means full capability to attack without being noticed by the enemy.

Second: Russia says that its stealth design is so advanced that it is minimally visible even when running active radar, and this capability has also been proven in real war. This jet has the ability to maintain supersonic speed for long distances.

third: The cockpit is based on high-automation, in which AI helps the pilot in taking quick decisions. It also has an integrated countermeasure system for security. Its onboard AESA radar can detect targets up to about 240 kilometers, and combined with the IRST system and 360-degree optical sensors, it makes it a kind of flying watchtower.

Fourth: The air show also showcased the Su-57E along with more than 10 new air-launched weapons – including long-range air-to-air missiles, precision-guided bombs and standoff strike weapons. This means that this jet is not only dangerous in itself, but also works like a mini arsenal with its weapons.

Why did Pakistan’s arrogance increase?

With this offer from Russia, India can get not only a stealth fighter but also high-tech and future defense capability. India will get a high-end stealth fighter, which can attack without being noticed by the enemy. Russia has promised to provide complete technology transfer, so that India itself can create and improve such technology. In future, India will also be able to domestically produce these fighter planes, which means self-reliance will further increase. All these things together take India’s military strength to a new level. As a result, the regional balance may tilt in favor of India, and this is the reason why Pakistan’s arrogance has increased.
