Dhaka’s International Crimes Tribunal has sentenced former PM Sheikh Hasina to death. He has been sentenced in the crime against humanity case. The court has given this punishment after finding him guilty of instigating murder and ordering murder. Now Sheikh Hasina’s supporters have come out on the streets in Bangladesh. Yunus is protesting strongly against the government. Have taken to the streets with torches in their hands.

Considering the seriousness of the matter, security forces in Bangladesh are on high alert. 15 thousand policemen have been deployed in Dhaka. Shoot at site orders have been issued against the protesters. There are reports of 28 deaths in the last 7 days of violence. There is a civil war like situation on the streets of Bangladesh.

The coup took place on 5 August 2024

Hasina government was overthrown on 5 August 2024. Since then she has been living in India. Now former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been sentenced to death. The tribunal has called him the mastermind of the murders that took place during the 2024 student movement. The court also found the second accused, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, guilty of murdering 12 people and sentenced him to death.

Protestors arrived to demolish Hasina’s father’s house

Today the Army and Police lathi-charged the protesters gathered near Dhanmondi-32. The protesters had gathered to demolish the remaining parts of the house of Hasina’s father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. At least two sound grenades were also thrown to disperse the crowd. According to the report, the protesters tried to break the barricade and go inside. After this the police and army took action. During this, many protesters and policemen were injured in lathi charge and throwing of bricks and stones.
