Saudi Crown Prince going to America after 7 years, why is Trump so excited?

Donald Trump and Crown Prince will meet

President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman are going to meet this week. The Crown Prince will visit America. Trump has planned to give a grand welcome to the Crown Prince for his American tour. Sources associated with the matter said, there will be a welcome ceremony for the Crown Prince in the morning and a formal dinner in the evening.

“We are not just meeting,” Trump said while flying to Florida late Friday night. We are respecting Saudi Arabia, the Crown Prince. There will be a meeting between Trump and the Crown Prince on Tuesday. The Crown Prince is visiting America after 7 years.

Why is Trump excited?

Trump has worked to build closer ties with the Saudis, in hopes that he might decide to establish diplomatic ties with Israel — which would be a major accomplishment in furthering the president’s key Abraham agreements. Trump is hoping that Saudi will also sign the Abraham Accords, but till now no positive response has come from Saudi side regarding this.

Trump said on Friday, Abraham agreements will be part of our negotiations, I hope that Saudi Arabia will soon join the Abraham agreements.

Visited 7 years ago

The prince last visited Washington in 2018, just months before dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed inside the Saudi Consulate in Türkiye. A subsequent CIA assessment stated that the assassination was carried out on Prince’s orders, although he has always denied any involvement.

With Tuesday’s visit, any signs of a rift in US-Saudi relations appear to have almost ended. Plans include a reception with a military band, a bilateral meeting in the Oval Office and a black-tie dinner in the evening.

What things will be discussed

President Trump looks forward to welcoming Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud to the White House, where the two leaders will participate in an official working meeting, a White House official said in a statement to CNN. We will not comment in advance on negotiations that are still ongoing.

Saudi Arabia is also planning to hold an investment summit to coincide with the Crown Prince’s visit to Washington. The event, to be held at the Kennedy Center the day after the White House visit, is being held with the aim of connecting American and Saudi business leaders for financial opportunities.

Trump had visited Saudi

In May, Trump went to Saudi Arabia on his first state visit of his second term, where he was given a grand welcome. During his tenure, the President has also attempted to strengthen relations with other Gulf countries, including Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. Ahead of the May visit, Saudi Arabia pledged to invest $600 billion in the United States.
