KKR appointed new bowling coach: Former New Zealand fast bowler Tim Southee has become the new bowling coach of Kolkata Knight Riders. He will be seen performing this important responsibility for KKR in IPL 2026. Tim Southee has the experience of playing in IPL and becoming a champion. He has worn the champion’s robe with Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. In such a situation, KKR may see the benefit of his experience as a bowling coach in the coming season i.e. IPL 2026.

Before becoming a bowling coach, he was also associated as a player.

Tim Southee has also been associated with Kolkata Knight Riders as a player during his playing days in IPL. But, this time his role is to breathe life into the team’s bowling. Former right-arm New Zealand fast bowler Tim Southee Was associated with KKR as a player in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023.

KKR has changed its support staff.

Tim Southee’s international career

Tim Southee has played cricket for New Zealand for 15 years. During this period, he played more than 700 international matches which included more than 100 Tests, 150 plus ODIs and 120 plus T20s. Saudi had said goodbye to international cricket in 2025 itself. After retirement, he was associated with the England cricket team as a bowling coach.
