 The desi girl recently reacted to the nomination on social media and congratulated Anushka. Responding to her Instagram post, Priyanka wrote, “Just queen energy. Congratulations.” The two recently met at Priyanka’s grand Diwali celebration in the US and they share a warm bond.

“Today is a day of contrasts – a terrible migraine and news of my 12th and 13th GRAMMY nominations in the same afternoon,” the musician wrote on Instagram.He added, “From my horizontal position in this dark room, I’m extremely grateful to see Chapter III: We Return to Light nominated for Best Global Album and ‘Daybreak’ nominated for Best Global Musical Performance. To be nominated alongside the amazing @alamsarode and @sarathykorwar, with whom I created this music, makes it even sweeter. For now, to sleep. Tomorrow, we’ll celebrate!”

Indians dominate the Grammy nominations

Along with Shankar’s album, composer Siddhant Bhatia’s Sounds of Kumbha has also been nominated. It is an album inspired by the spiritual and musical atmosphere of the Kumbh Mela.
