Ajit Chaudhary

The body of a young man from Alwar, Rajasthan, who had gone to Russia to study, has been recovered 19 days after he went missing. Ajit Chaudhary, a 22-year-old MBBS student of Bashkir State Medical University in Ufa city of Russia, who was missing for the last 19 days, was found dead near the university campus, a few kilometers away.

Ajit Chaudhary was a resident of Kafanwada village of Alwar district. The family received the sad news of their son’s departure from this world on Thursday afternoon. Chairman of Alwar Saras Dairy, Nitin Sanghwan said that Ajit’s body was found in a dam located near White River.

Was missing for 19 days

Ajit was missing for the last 19 days. After this, Nitin Sanghwan along with the victim’s family approached the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, so that help could be found in finding Ajit. Meanwhile, Minister Kirti Vardhan Singh intervened in the case, due to which search efforts were intensified in Russia.

How did he die?

Sanghwan said, only Ajit’s classmates were able to identify the body and thus the search that had been going on since October 19 finally ended. The next day, their clothes were found on the river bank, indicating that they may have been swept away by the rising currents of the river, which was in spate following seasonal rains.

Had studied by selling land

Ajit, son of Roop Singh Chaudhary, was in the third year of medical studies. It was his dream to see his son become a doctor. Ajit’s family had a total of 20 bighas of land, out of which they sold 3 bighas and covered the expenses of Ajit’s education in Russia, so that their son’s future could be bright.

The dead body will be brought to India

Nitin Sanghwan said, Ajit’s classmates informed the family. The body will be brought to India after post-mortem and necessary embassy approval. According to officials, the post-mortem will be conducted by a medical board in Russia. This process is expected to be completed in about 2 days, after which the body will be brought to India for cremation.
